Trimlight Driver for Control4

Trimlight Cloud Driver

Overview

This driver allows for the integration of Trimlight with Control4. When installed and paired with a Trimlight account the driver allows for the following:

Control Trimlight Units or Groups
Custom UI for Control4 Touchscreens and Mobile Navigator Devices
Two-way status reporting and feedback to custom UI
Programmatically control Switch State, Favorite Recall, and Preset Recall

This driver must be installed to integrate with a Trimlight account. The matching UI Button drivers must be installed to control individual Units or Groups.

Note: This driver is only compatible with Control4 OS 3.3 and higher.

Installation Instructions

Note: This driver requires an active internet connection to function correctly.

Complete the setup, configuration, and testing of the Trimlight system before proceeding
Download the latest Control4 drivers from Trimlight's website
Start composer and install the Trimlight Cloud driver into they project
Click on the Actions Tab and click the First Time Setup
Click back to the Properties tab and copy the generated URL from the Authentication URL property
Send this URL to the client and have them log in using their credentials to authorize the driver
The driver will be authenticated with Trimlight servers
Install Trimlight UI button drivers for the Units and Groups that require control

Note: Pressing the Print System Debug action button will print a list of Trimlight Units and Groups that are associated with the connected account.

Authentication URL	Shows a temporary authentication URL during first time setup	See install instructions

Action Buttons

Print System Debug	Prints information regarding the configuration and devices associated with the driver
Retrieve From Trimlight.com	Updates authentication tokens and download information about Units and Groups from Trimlight servers
First Time Setup	Activates the authentication process to pair the Trimlight account. This will display the Authentication URL property on the Properties tab for a limited amount of time.
