Trimlight UI Button Driver

Overview

This driver allows for the control of individual Trimlight Units and Groups of units by a Control4 system.

The Trimlight Cloud driver must be installed to integrate with a Trimlight account before installing this driver.

Note: This driver is only compatible with Control4 OS 3.3 and higher.

Installation Instructions

Note: This driver requires an active internet connection to function correctly.

  1. Complete the setup, configuration, and testing of the Trimlight system before proceeding
  2. Download the latest Control4 drivers from Trimlight's website
  3. Complete the configuration and setup of the Trimlight Cloud driver
  4. Start install the Trimlight UI Button driver into the project
  5. Select the appropriate Control Mode for this driver (Unit or Group)
  6. Select the appropriate Target Device or Target Group for this driver

The driver is now configured for programming control using the Programming section of Control4 Composer.

Keypad bindings for the Unit or Group Mode (Off, Manual, and Timer) are provided for use with Control4 Keypads.

Adding the UI Interface and Experience Button

The custom interface can be used on both Control4 T3 and T4 touchscreens as well as Control4 mobile navigators. Performance may vary across devices depending on vintage. This driver was tested with iPad and T4 based Navigators.

  1. Click on the Room that that the UI Experience Button should appear in
  2. Add (show) the UI button into the appropriate Experience menu
  3. Refresh navigators

Target Group/Unit Selects the Group or Unit to control based on the connected Trimlight account Note: If no devices or groups are listed, verify the binding to the cloud driver is connected.
Debug Turns on and off the debug in the Lua window
Driver Version Displays the version of this driver

Action Buttons

Request State Manually requests the state of the Target Group or Unit from Trimlight servers

Programming Options

The following device specific commands are available through the Control4 Programming interface.

Change Switch State Off, Manual, Timer Changes the mode of the Unit or Group
Show Favorite Favorite, Brightness, Speed Allows the programatic recall of a saved Favorite along with a specified brightness and speed
Show Preset Preset, Brightness, Speed, Pixel Length, Reverse Allows the programatic recall of a built in preset along with a specified brightness, speed, pixel length, and direction
